Free the Stripes

All the sales, guys! My Free People top is 40% off right now. So is my Miranda tote! You hardly ever find a Miranda for that price, true story. By the way, I almost returned my new Kate Spade shoes after they arrived in the mail. I tried them on and decided they were uncomfortable right away. But, I have to tell you after wearing them all day (and walking all the places with my nature loving boyfriend) they didn’t hurt one bit. As it turns out they’re incredibly comfortable, and I have an intense love relationship with black and white stripes (you should see my house). And hey! If you’re in a warmer climate I linked you to the exact same top but sleeveless! (also on sale)

Swing to Spring

It’s hard knocks for those of us living in chilly, wintery states. Spring is here, but the warmth is not. For those of you who know me, you know I’m not really complaining. It just makes blogging hard since half of you want short sleeves, and half are still in limbo likes yours truly. Either way I am a dress girl. Hard to believe, I know. But, in spring and summer dresses are all I wear. So, I found this swing dress that I can wear in spring (and next fall). It’s a lightweight material so it’s not too warm, and it comes in a couple colors. I included a more affordable version (it’s on sale for under $26.00!) If you’re in warmer climate flats would be very cute with this. Puppy not included.

Target Does High/Low

You know, I’m not going to lie and pretend I’m not a clothing snob. Back in the day (or three years ago) Target was too expensive for me. Target clothes were a luxury. And while I still sometimes shop for clothes at Target, I’ve become disenchanted with their jeans (they stretch out), and I have serious issues with their undies (they fade and stretch out). But, there is one thing Target does very right, and that is their cotton tee’s. They wash well, they’re versatile, they’re half the price of every other retail store. So, when I spotted this very soft, very cool high/low tee I snatched it up. Well worth it, especially for the $19.00 price tag. High/Low is the “in thing” right now, and why not purchase where it’s both a good quality, and a good price. Also, have you invested in a pair of Converse wedges? So comfortable. I wear mine a couple times a week.

Downtown Stripes

So, there are these stripes…

IMG_0006

I love them. I have so many plans for this striped tee: blazers, shorts, skirts. My pants are from All Saints and they’re my favorite. And my jacket is something I picked up in Australia last year, the brand is UGG. I listed a similar one, and also a more affordable look-alike.

Fancy Pants

So, every time I’m in Seattle I find a new corner or street I’ve never seen before. I love that. Oh the sushi Seattle has to offer! I had a roll called Ponies and Unicorns, and it was delicious. Aside from the excellent food, mild climate, and overall beauty of my city, there is an acceptance of artistic personalities that I found so welcoming. No one raises eyebrows at you for…well…being you. I hope you make time in your life to visit one day. I’m very proud to call Washington my home.

So, these pants…

I love them. But beware, if you purchase they do run big. I normally wear a size 28 in pants and I bought a 26 in these. I also listed my boots and some affordable options.
