Peasant Prices & Blogging

Okay, the wedges are at least. They already were a great price and now they’re on sale too. So, go check them out. As for my lax blogging. It’s my camera’s fault…my friend’s fault…my…my…my…

I’ll do better.

I’ve had a hectic few weeks, and let me tell you, there’s this period of impossible fashion blogging in Washington state. Why? Because while the rest of the country is experiencing full fledged summer, here in the PNW we are still experiencing winterish spring? So, anything I post would be from last year’s winter wardrobe. So, excuse my slower posts, things will pick up when summer treats us all fairly. Also, I’m trying to just balance out right now. If that means less blogging and more writing-so be it. I’d like to share more blogging things with you too. Fashion and feelings are my forte, yes?

There have been some home projects we’ve had to work on like flooring, and deciding if we want to invest in the backyard, or if we are selling. I’ve had my eye on another house. We live in a development now. I have an amazing view of the Cascades, and I love my location since I am a few minutes away from the kid’s school, but I’ve been wanting something a little more private for a while now. Somewhere I can put dragons on my fence, and have a yard that neighbors can’t see into. I came to Washington for peace, and while I’ve mostly found it, I’ve discovered that in my line of work I need a certain sense of separation from people to maintain that peace. So, whilst I try to adjust to a new balance of work, and home, and decisions, I’ll be spreading out all of my extra curricular activities and depending on the week you may see more or less of them.

Black Bat

I wasn’t even going to take the camera with on the day I wore this outfit, but Josh said I looked Guise of the Villain. So here is a villainous outfit. I guess. Why did I call this post Black Bat? It’s Scarlet’s favorite Jack White song and she made us play it all day. Tip, if you have a lot of hair try wearing men’s fedoras. They’re the only hats that work for me because I can’t stuff my hair into women’s hats. They always look awkward and half way through the day they look ready to pop off. I also tend to prefer straw hats in the summer. So, hey, hey! Links below.

Skirting Around

I always buy skirts to wear to church. Not dresses, skirts. Like there’s something more acceptable to the Lord about wearing separates on Sunday. It’s how I do. It probably stems back to my traumatic college experience of single hand holding with boys, sacred music, and pantyhose and pumps. Have I mentioned that I attended a really strict Christian college? We wore skirts. It was okay because I went to college in Florida and skirts are nice and breezy when it’s hot. That’s what I told myself as I sang hymns, and peeled pantyhose off my sweat soaked legs every night to make my 10:00 o’ clock mandatory bedtime.  Anyway, I don’t have to wear hose anymore, and you couldn’t pay me to sing Come Thou Fount, but this week in Washington state it’s hot as hell and I’m back in skirts. I linked you below.
