Red Thread

I’m ready. I’ve been working on my thighs and butt with all the squats. I have been casually tanning my white parts. I have established a shaving pattern. Here I am summer! Technically this is the first summer Josh and I will have together. He moved to Washington last March, but my dad had recently died, and my world was shaken with some ugly things. Truth be told, I spent my summer grieving. This summer I plan on sweaty kisses, and swimming, and grilling, and all those other things people do and take photos of. Yay! Also, I finished my book. I can officially relax. Anyway, my sweater is the bomb. So lightweight and perfect for evenings if you live in sweatbox somewhere (Texas and Florida). Here it’s mostly in the seventies during summer. Which is dreamy AF. I threw in some sandals in case you’re not a boots in summer kind of girl. Happy sweating.

Rose All Day

Hey guys!

So here I am in Switzerland and I loooove it. We rented a car because we’re going to drive to Bern and Lucerne and take pictures of all the things. It’s one of the trickier places we’ve been because the language is German and alas, we do not speak German. What did people do before GPS? Also I am overcome with a writing bug. I cannot stop writing. And it’s not even the book I’m supposed to be working on. This is how it goes, I’ll be in the bathroom blow drying my hair, or walking down a street, and all of a sudden (completely out of the blue) words will hit me. Not just any words, it’s the words you as readers underline, tattoo on your bodies, and assert are you favorite quotes. It’s the good shit, guys. They hit me when I’m busy and I can hear them in my head so clearly, but if I don’t hurry, if I don’t get them down as fast as I can-they leave me.  Josh is used to me sprinting across rooms, rushing toward my computer with a strange look on my face. He knows not to speak to me when I’m like that. If he speaks to me I could lose the words. Do you know what this means? It means that a lot of the time I look like a crazy person. I have  shoved him out of the way a time or two, and all to get to my computer. Life with an artist, eh?

Anyway, here is my outfit post. I purchased my suede, blush moto in London earlier this year with the intent of wearing it on my honeymoon. I found a dupe jacket since mine is on the pricier side. The dupe is under sixty bucks!   I also included plus size options for the moto and the tights. My shoes! They are legit the ugliest things I have ever seen. There are pearls inside of silver grommets and the whole thing reminds me of a skin disease. I love them for this reason. Anyway, I’ll update soon…and hopefully finish my book. Fingers crossed for me!

One Bag To Rule Them All

Purse snob! Hello, here I am. It’s true. I veer toward the popular brands like Louis, Celine, Gucci. Shallow, I know. I buy a shallow purse every time I publish a book. Except this year I did not. Why? I guess maybe because I have a wedding coming up and there were so many expenses that go along with that. But, last month, right before I left for England I decided that I needed a new bag. One with a zipper, because do you guys remember my Paris pickpocketing experience? Never again will I travel without a bag that zips closed. Anyway, I didn’t want to spend a mortgage payment on a bag. I found this magic little number. Matte black, tassel, leather, cross-body option. It fits my Macbook, a good sized novel, my makeup bag, and there’s still room. I love this bag more than my shallow, name brand bags. If you’re considering one I posted two different sizes below. One is the suede smaller version if you don’t intend on hauling your laptop around. As for my Nikes, I’ve lived in these for weeks. I love them so much. Be careful when ordering sizes they’re listed as men’s. I am a size NINE women which is a SEVEN in men.
