Leggings Are Pants

Don’t let anyone tell you that leggings aren’t pants, especially Blair Waldorf. Since everyone has been asking where I get mine I threw a post together for you. The ones I’m wearing are gunmetal in a size 8-10. I got my oversized courier shirt at a small boutique so I did my best to find something similar for you. I’m ten pounds down! But I still can’t fit into any of my old jeans. Happy shopping!

OHMYGODICUTMYHAIR

And for the very first time I don’t regret it. It took me thirty two years to find the stylist of my dreams. Thank you, Shannon! She’s been cutting and blowdrying me for about three years now and there has never been a time when I leave her unhappy. I needed a change since I spent two years growing my hair out for the wedding. I was afraid to cut it because every time I’ve cut my hair I feel motherly. Like, I know I’m a mother but I don’t want to look like a mother. Ya know?! I have Peter Pan syndrome and in my heart I’m forever eighteen. Guys, if you’re ever in the area check out Shannon Wylie.

You can look her up on Instagram by: shannonwyliedesigns

Anyway, I found you a dupe pair of jeans for $60 and also listed my pair. And if you’re a slouchy t-shirt kind of girl this is my all time favorite tee. Washes well, doesn’t shrink, fits perfectly. And I am LOVING these Minkoff sneakers. So, usually I don ‘t like these laceless sneaker things. They sort of look lazy to me. Like, I’m a mom and I don’t have time for laces. But add silver grommets AND I LOVE THEM. LAZY SNEAKERISH  THINGS WITH EDGE! Yaaaas!

Naked and Mean

No one in Washington has air conditioning. That means for three weeks during summer I’m miserable and mean. Heat makes me a very bad person, guys. We’re officially past the 95 degree hump in my corner of the PNW and I can officially stop walking around naked and angry. This sweatshirt I picked up from AG is comfortable and still works in hot weather. I found a couple of more affordable options for you. And since summer is almost over this will float into your fall wardrobe. Hope you’re enjoying your weekend.

The Wrap Dress

So you guys keep asking me about the wrap dress I posted on my main Instagram page. The problem is that I bought that dress last year and the exact print I’m wearing in the photo is no longer available. The good new is that the designer has multiple other wrap dresses in slightly varying style and print. I can vouch for the brand. Also, my Michael Kor sandals are on sale and that price is a steal. So here is a little wrap dress offering for you. Remember to scroll right to see all of the options. Hope you find something you like!

Dusters For All

So here’s the thing, dusters are slimming. They streamline your figure something fierce, and if you’re wearing either a shirt or pants that you feel reveals too many of your lady lumps and bumps, a long duster is a good solution. I mean, you can stuff yourself into Spanx, suck in all day…or hide underneath a flowy duster. It also makes you look badass. So, there’s that. Anyway, I included plus size in this post so scroll to see all of the options. And though I had reservations about wearing a choker (you know since I wore them when I was seventeen) I quite enjoyed wearing this one.

Ballard Baller

Hey guys! I’ve been busy ya’ll. Spent this past weekend in Ballard with my fiancee. We like to go explore and eat on the weekends. Truth is we’ve been looking for an area where we want to move. That includes stalking the restaurants, parks, trails, shopping, and neighborhoods. I LOVE Ballard. It’s a trendy little area in Seattle. If you’re every visiting it’s worth a drive to go to their little downtown area. Hope your January wasn’t too depressing. I have a crazy couple months of travel and work ahead of me. Oh, and a wedding. But, if you think I’m going to make typical wedding advice blogs on organization and budget ideas, you’re wrong. I have no idea what I’m doing and I may have a nervous breakdown.

My tuxedo jacket is from Aritzia. You can find it HERE or I listed a similar one below. And my purse is Jimmy Choo. It’s an oldie so you can’t really find it anymore.

Again With The Culottes

I can’t stop them, please help me. But, for real in the summer these are going to be a wonderful alternative to shorts. Europe is always ahead of the game in regard to fashion and I wasn’t the only one wearing culottes over there. Okay, maybe I was. But, they’ll catch on soon.

Heavy Metal

In my heart I’m a little girl with a bedazzle gun. I want spikes, studs, chains and metal on everything. Maybe I should get braces again.

Oy! These pull on skinnies with the split ankle! I am so in love. I was skeptical with the pull on factor. But they are fantastic, and the best part is the detail on the ankle. I included a more affordable pair in the links below, so check those out too. And I have to give props to my friend, Karina Halle. You may know her as author Karina Halle, writer of fabulous books. I texted her awhile back about edgy flats and she pointed me to ASH. Karina knows shoes, what can I say? I landed up buying several more pairs in Italy because I was such a fan of their design. So, thanks Karina. I like your cheekbones.

Roma Jumpsuit

Hey! Hey!
Got this cool jumpsuit. It’s very lightweight. Perfect for warm weather. I linked you to some plus size jumpsuits too. Guess what? I ate gelato all day and I don’t even regret it. Then for dinner we walked into the less touristy area of Rome and found this pizza joint down a side alley. Wowza. First off all the owner was wearing an American flag tee, and had a beer belly, two missing teeth, and tattoos behind his ears. He was surprisingly handsome. I want to write him into a book. The place was so popular with the locals that you basically sit banquet style against the brick wall outside. Right next to strangers. Then when someone has to go to the bathroom they squeeze along the wall behind you basically knocking your chair up and not apologizing. It’s just how it is, and I loved it. So much jug wine on my shirt. Also, I had a bufala pizza which is buffalo mozzarella, cherry tomatoes and basil. Oh my god. You guys, I don’t even like pizza and I think I could eat bufala pizza every day of my life. Italians are so fashionable. I am learning so much. They are ahead of the game and everyone looks like they stepped out of a magazine. It’s beautiful, and graceful, and…European. Anyway, I hope you all get the chance to see this beautiful world. I am forever in love with Europe.
